I could request that, but I feel like I’ll be mucking with the dentist’s plan. And, realistically, either way I’ll be cavity-free probably by next Wednesday.
So I’m pretty nervous, but not nearly as bad as I was this time last week. I feel like it can’t be too terribly bad, as I heard the dentist tell the receptionist to book me in for 2 45 minute appointments for the fillings. How bad can it be? 45 minutes. That’s nothing.
I’m just hoping the first needle numbs me up well, and everything goes smoothly.
I have been offered the option of choosing to have nitrous previous to getting the needle, but I told them I’d rather just go right to needleville. Nitrous costs extra money I don’t have, and I feel like I need to get over my fear of needles some time. Why not get started now?
I also have a semi-equal fear of losing control as I do of needles, so somehow nitrous kind of creeps me out. Well, the idea of it does, anyway.
By this time tomorrow I should be 1/2 done my dental restoration. Not bad, considering. If I can get in to get my last 2-3 fillings done next week, I will have gone from not being to the dentist in 10 years to getting an appointment, getting my teeth cleaned and scaling, and getting all my fillings taken care of in 4 weeks and 3 visits.
Then the next step after next week will be the orthodontist to see what he can do for my alignment.
