Phase 5: Post-procedure (Part 1)
1 February 2007
I got 3 of my 5 fillings done, and I’ll be going back on the 28th for the last 2. Of those, my largest and probably my worst, which will probably be equal to the 3 I had done today.
I have to say, during the procedure I felt like they were really having a tough time of it, but I think it was just because I thought they were only filling 2 teeth, and they were filling 3.
$275/filling, which is kind of steep IMO, but hey…the price you pay for perfect teef.
My next appointment is exactly 4 weeks away, and though I can’t say this appointment hurt very much, I will be nervous again, as the needle was pretty uncomfortable and the picking/drilling wasn’t fun either. However. I would definitely say the pain from needle/drilling/picking != the pain of a toothache, so its definitely better to go and get it done than not.
I popped a couple advil a few minutes ago for a headache I’m nursing, and hopefully that will help with the slight discomfort I’m in right now.
Hope this inspires you all to go and get your work done, as I said, it’s really not that bad. You have gone through more pain with a toothache than you will with the procedure to fix and/or prevent it.
Talk to you all closer to the 28th.
