Every Dem mayor right now is like "we thank you for your peaceful protests, we've heard you, we are doing nothing to fix any of these problems, your curfew is 2 minutes from now and I've given the cops brand new aerodynamic beating sticks"

In 1945, Jim Miller returned home from the war and did not speak about it. He folded up his service uniform, medals still pinned to it, and put it in the basement, where his oldest boy sometimes took it out to play army. 1/7 https://www.nytimes.com/2020…

CARES Act 401k Withdrawal - Permitted, But Avoid?

1 week 4 days ago

Everyone is feeling the pinch of COVID-19 financially. If you’ve been hit especially hard, you may be looking at ways to leverage savings and investments to bridge the gap. The CARES Act opened up one such avenue in to 401k savings — withdrawals of up to $100,000 will not be subject to the standard 10% early withdrawal penalty for individuals under 59 1/2 years of age provided the withdrawal is paid back within 36 months. With the future of the economy very much uncertain, each investor—borrower will need to consider carefully whether they expect to be in a financial position to repay their withdrawal in the next three years. Read my full article in April’s Tax Notes.

As always, if you have specific questions regarding 401k withdrawals, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. This is a complex area of tax law and you cannot base your decisions on a cursory overview of the topic, such as this one.

Some great writing in a 1930s newspaper article about the folks living in our house at the time. I wish it had a byline to give credit. "I looked up to see Riley climbing over the back-fence. He strode in to my house whistling." ...pic.twitter.com…

Ok, I’ve talked with multiple sources and can confirm a June 10th spring training 2 with a July 1 opening day proposal is expected to be on the table soon. Trevor Plouffe had it first. I had it 2nd. Someone else will have it 3rd
